Instinct Stock Handling School

Chook Kealey provides practical hands-on livestock training and education running two-day schools throughout Australia. The majority of these schools are conducted with cattle or sheep however buffalo, camels and goats have all been worked with in the past.

Participants are taken through a structured process that teaches the basics of why herding animals do what they do. This teaching is then cemented through the opportunity to work livestock in a range of situations both individually and in teams which demonstrates how these methods apply to every situation regardless of yard design and environment.

Time is allocated to deal with participants’ specific questions and scenarios with a certificate of attendance available at the end of the course.
Instinct Stock Handling is about the team and the culture, and understanding how easy it can be to work stock while making the workplace safer and optimising productivity.

Participants with limited livestock experience through to highly competent stock people attend these schools.
